Sales Compensation Analyst
- Lead the annual compensation planning process, including the development and distribution of compensation letters outlining commission structures and quotas.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless data flow between our Quota Planning and Sales Compensation tools.
- Act as the primary point of contact for sales team inquiries related to compensation, ensuring timely resolution of any discrepancies or disputes.
- Analyze commission payment trends and develop insights that drive performance optimization for underperformers and high achievers.
- Work closely with Finance, Incentives, and Field Operations to ensure alignment and transparency in compensation practices.
- Continuously update and maintain documentation of compensation programs and policies to ensure clarity and compliance.
- Implement and refine a system for categorizing and managing discrepancies in commission payouts.
- Set first-year objectives focused on enhancing compensation data accuracy and improving overall sales team satisfaction with compensation processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in sales compensation or financial analysis.
- Proficient in compensation software and advanced Excel functions (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
- Solid understanding of sales compensation structures, terminologies, and best practices.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for data accuracy and trend analysis.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills to adapt messaging for diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with teams such as Sales, HR, and Finance.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address discrepancies and resolve compensation-related inquiries.
