About the Team

You will have the opportunity to join the Southeast Texas Enterprise Team at Nutanix, which consists of 5 Systems Sales Engineers. You will report to the Senior Manager, Systems Engineering, who is known for a leadership style that emphasizes empowerment, collaboration, and the development of individual team members. This position is primarily remote, allowing for flexible work arrangements while focusing on being in the field and directly engaging with customers and channel partners in the ecosystem. The hire is expected to work remotely without a set requirement to go into the office.

Travel for this role will be required up to 30% of the time within a specific region, working remotely in Houston, Texas. This travel is essential for building strong relationships with customers and partners in the field, ensuring effective engagement and support for customer success.


Your Role

  • Demonstrate and articulate benefits of Nutanix solutions to influence customer purchasing decisions and drive business transformation.
  • Size and configure Nutanix solutions tailored to customer needs, ensuring successful deployments.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers, acting as a trusted resource to enhance customer success.
  • Gather and communicate customer feedback to the Nutanix ecosystem for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with sales counterparts to develop account plans and technical proposals based on customer requirements.
  • Partner with the broader presales team to achieve technical wins efficiently and professionally.
  • Conduct training and seminars with partners to increase Nutanix revenues in the assigned territory.
  • Achieve a successful onboarding and integration into the team within the first year, with a focus on establishing a strong presence in the field.

What You Will Bring

  • 5+ years of Sales Engineering experience in a high-tech sales environment.
  • Successful track record of driving customer adoption of technology.
  • Product solution knowledge in areas such as Application Virtualization, Server Virtualization, Networking, and Storage.
  • Experience with managed Kubernetes platforms (EKS, AKS, GKE) is preferred.
  • Native Cloud experience with building, deploying, and managing modern applications in cloud environments is preferred.
  • Ability to motivate, train, and conduct seminars with partners to increase revenues.
  • Proven success in maintaining relationships with technical resources at all customer organization levels.
  • Adaptability, self-starter mentality, and quick learning capability for new products and technologies.

Work Arrangement

Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. In locations where our workplace policy applies (i.e. San Jose, Durham, Mexico City, Bangalore, Pune, Hoofddorp, Belgrade, Barcelona, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo), employees are expected to work onsite a minimum of 3 days per week to foster collaboration, team alignment, and access to in-office resources. The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $ 225,600 and USD $ 338,400 per year.

However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
