The Opportunity

We are seeking a passionate and technically strong Pre-Sales Systems Engineer to join our team and help customers transform their IT operations with modern, software-defined infrastructure and cloud-native technologies. In this role, you will work closely with account executives, partners, and technical decision-makers to design and position infrastructure solutions that solve real business problems across data centers and public cloud environments.

Your Role

  • Engage with enterprise customers to understand their business needs, technical requirements, and operational goals.
  • Design and deliver architectural solutions covering modern infrastructure, private/hybrid cloud, and data services.
  • Deliver technical presentations, customized demos, and Proof-of-Concept (POC) sessions tailored to customer use cases.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to develop strategies that address customer pain points using innovative solutions.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into business-relevant value propositions.
  • Partner with channel teams, cloud providers, and service integrators to align on go-to-market strategies.
  • Provide technical mentorship to partners, customers, and internal stakeholders during pre-sales activities.

  • Data Services & Storage
  •  File, block, and object storage for structured and unstructured data; data lifecycle management, data protection, and archival.
  • Enterprise Databases
  •  Lifecycle automation for SQL and NoSQL databases, provisioning, scaling, high availability, and DR strategies.
  • Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery
  •  Multi-site architecture, backup and restore strategies, replication, snapshotting, and failover testing.
  • Security, Governance & Compliance
  •  Role-based access control, network segmentation, encryption at rest/in-transit, auditability, and regulatory alignment.
  • AI & Machine Learning Infrastructure
  •  GPU virtualization, AI/ML workload orchestration, inferencing and model lifecycle integration with infrastructure layers.

Qualifications

  • 6 to 9 years of experience in a customer-facing technical role with 3 to 5 years’ experience as a Presales Engineer
  • Proven experience in pre-sales, solutions architecture, or technical consulting roles in enterprise IT environments.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure concepts including compute, storage, networking, and virtualization.
  • Hands-on experience with public cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and container ecosystems (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).
  • Familiarity with modern application architectures, microservices, and CI/CD workflows.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and storytelling skills – ability to convey complex ideas to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to lead technical discussions and influence decision-makers across technical and business functions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
  • Understanding of ITIL or enterprise service management frameworks.
  • Certifications in cloud, containers, or enterprise infrastructure technologies.

Work Arrangement

Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. For most roles, that will mean coming into an office a minimum of 2 - 3 days per week, however certain roles and/or teams may require more frequent in-office presence. Additional team-specific guidance and norms will be provided by your manager.
