About the Team
The Senior Manager - Consulting will join the Nutanix Customer Success team, based in Pune, India. This dynamic team is dedicated to providing exceptional customer support and technical expertise, ensuring clients achieve their desired outcomes using Nutanix solutions. The mission of Nutanix Customer Success is to empower customers with trusted resources and expert guidance, making their experience with Hyperconverged Infrastructure solutions seamless and effective.
You will report to the Sr Director of Professional Services, who is known for a hands-on leadership style that emphasizes mentorship and open communication. The manager cultivates an environment that encourages team members to take initiative and think independently while providing guidance when needed. This position is hybrid, requiring the hire to work on-site in the office a few days each week, allowing for flexibility in balancing remote and in-person collaboration.
This role may involve approximately 15% travel, allowing for opportunities to engage directly with clients and support their needs on-site. Travel will primarily be focused on key project deliverables and customer engagements, ensuring that the Resident Manager can effectively address client requirements.
Your Role
  • Manage a small team of regional Residents while also performing the duties of a Resident Consultant to meet customer outcomes.
  • Administer and support existing Nutanix/VMware environments, providing technical leadership and troubleshooting expertise.
  • Drive architectural strategy and collaborate with architecture and engineering teams for customer benefit.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers, delivering guidance on Nutanix and VMware best practices.
  • Partner with the Nutanix Sales Team to identify new opportunities and maintain clear communication with customers on project status.
  • Ensure effective project management and customer satisfaction while maintaining a customer-centric approach.
  • Develop and implement growth plans based on customer trends and generate detailed reports for stakeholders.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment emphasizing education, development, and professional growth among team members.
What You Will Bring
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience as a virtualization consultant, with a strong focus on VMware and Nutanix technologies.
  • At least 3 years of experience in people management, effectively leading a technical team.
  • Deep understanding of VMware ESX, Citrix products (XenDesktop, XenApp), and data center virtualization.
  • Strong knowledge of storage and data protection technologies, including replication and backup solutions.
  • Proficient in Windows administration and capable of diagnosing complex networking issues.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills to engage and educate customers.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Management Information Systems (MIS) preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with Nutanix Enterprise Cloud Platform and certifications such as Nutanix NCP, VMware VCAP/VCIX-DCV are advantageous.
Work Arrangement
Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. For most roles, that will mean coming into an office a minimum of 3 days per week, however certain roles and/or teams may require more frequent in-office presence. Additional team-specific guidance and norms will be provided by your manager.
