The Opportunity
Are you an experienced professional in corporate real estate with a proven track record of managing multi-country portfolios in fast-paced technology environments? If so, you will want to join our team as the Real Estate and Workplace Director for EMEA, where you will play a crucial role in shaping our office strategies, optimizing workplace experiences, and collaborating with key leadership to drive operational excellence in an innovative and dynamic environment.

About the Team
The role of Real Estate and Workplace Director, EMEA, is part of the Real Estate and Workplace team at Nutanix, based in London, England. This team is dedicated to managing the company’s real estate portfolio across the EMEA region, focusing on providing an optimal workplace environment that supports both productivity and employee satisfaction. The culture within the team emphasizes collaboration, data-driven decision-making, and strong relationship-building with stakeholders, ensuring that office operations align with Nutanix's broader organizational goals.
You will report to the VP of Real Estate and Workplace, who fosters a leadership style that balances employee experience with cost management. This manager values attention to detail, particularly in financial and operational aspects, and encourages team members to adopt a data-driven approach to decision-making. The work setup for this role is primarily hybrid, with the expectation that team members will be in the office three days a week, promoting a flexible environment while still facilitating face-to-face engagement.
The Real Estate and Workplace Director role is expected to require travel approximately 15 to 20% of the time. The previous role included around ten days of travel every quarter; however, it is noted that the new hire may not need to uphold the same level of travel commitment. This flexibility in travel requirements allows the candidate to balance their professional responsibilities with personal commitments.

Your Role
  • Lead the development and implementation of portfolio strategy for EMEA office spaces, addressing operational needs and lease expirations.
  • Oversee ongoing construction and renovation projects, ensuring timely completion, compliance with specifications, and budget adherence.
  • Manage vendor relationships and procurement processes to optimize operational efficiency and cost management.
  • Conduct regular assessments of office operations, collaborating closely with workplace managers to enhance workplace experiences.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to improve decision-making processes and operational strategies within the corporate real estate function.
  • Foster strategic relationships with key stakeholders across the organization, including HR, IT, and finance, to align office space with company growth.
  • Support and mentor a diverse team of workplace managers, providing guidance on best practices and operational excellence.
  • Achieve successful project completions in Belgrade, London, and Paris as part of immediate objectives while developing long-term strategic plans for the EMEA portfolio.

What You Will Bring
  • Minimum of 10 years of corporate real estate experience, particularly in managing EMEA portfolios.
  • Expertise in portfolio strategy and operational cost management.
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills with stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in leased and serviced office space management.
  • Data-driven decision-making ability, especially in financial and operational contexts.
  • Experience in change management within fast-paced technology environments.
  • Ability to manage and develop a diverse team effectively.
  • Familiarity with lease administration and project management tools.

Work Arrangement
Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. For most roles, that will mean coming into an office a minimum of 3 days per week, however certain roles and/or teams may require more frequent in-office presence. Additional team-specific guidance and norms will be provided by your manager.
