The Systems Engineering team at Nutanix is a dynamic and collaborative group based in Cleveland, OH. This team is dedicated to providing innovative solutions to clients by leveraging a strong foundation in technical expertise and exceptional soft skills. You will report to the Manager of Systems Engineering, who emphasizes a supportive and nurturing leadership style. This manager is committed to developing junior team members by focusing on their innate capabilities and providing ample mentorship for professional growth. The role will operate in a remote setup when not at customer sites, allowing you the flexibility to work from home, with no requirement to go into the office.

The travel requirements for this role involve meeting with customers and partners within the territory, as well as some overnight trips for conferences and other activities. Travel is expected to be up to 30-40% of the time.

This opportunity requires candidates be located in the Cleveland, OH area but will work remotely when not at customer sites.

 

Your Role

  • Engage with clients to assess their needs and deliver tailored technical solutions that drive customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to effectively address technical inquiries and fulfill customer requirements.
  • Participate in team meetings to provide project updates, share strategies, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Utilize mentorship opportunities to enhance both technical skills and interpersonal capabilities.
  • Conduct ongoing research on industry trends and product developments, demonstrating technical acumen and knowledge growth.
  • Assist in troubleshooting client issues, leveraging strong problem-solving skills in collaboration with team members.
  • Develop strong relationships with clients through effective communication to foster trust and partnership.
  • Achieve key learning milestones during onboarding to prepare for increasing responsibilities within the team.

 

What You Will Bring

  • 5+ years of presales experience with a strong technical background.
  • 3-5 years of proven sales experience with client engagement proficiency.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities demonstrated through practical experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills focused on relationship building.
  • Technical acumen with quick adaptability to new technologies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Inquisitive nature with commitment to continuous learning and growth.
  • Comfort engaging in technical discussions and presentations with clients.

 

Work Arrangement

Remote: This position is primarily remote. There is no specific in-office requirement, however, there may be circumstances where you may be required to come into a local office for a specific purpose, and/or to travel to other locations based on business needs.

 

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $ 196,000 and USD $ 294,000 per year.

However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
