About the Team

In Nutanix's Core Data Path Team - Stargate, you will be part of a global team that spans across the US and APAC regions. You will collaborate with talented individuals from different backgrounds and expertise, working together towards innovative solutions. You will report to a Staff Engineer who is dedicated to supporting your growth and success within the team. The work setup at Nutanix is hybrid, requiring employees to be in the office 2-3 days a week. This balance allows for both in-person collaboration and flexibility for remote work, ensuring a productive and dynamic work environment.

In terms of travel requirements, there are none for this position. Nutanix values work-life balance and understands the importance of focusing on meaningful work without unnecessary travel obligations.

 

Your Role

  • Design and develop reliable, efficient, high-performance data-path software
  • Solve complex customer requirements through innovative solutions
  • Improve performance, scaling out, and resiliency of distributed storage systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products
  • Engage with customers to resolve production issues
  • Maintain the quality of the Nutanix Distributed Storage Fabric (NDSF)
  • Contribute to development of next-generation features on the distributed HCI platform
  • Address technical debt and drive aggressive performance goals

 

What You Will Bring

  • Bachelor's (with 2 yrs exp) or master's degree (with 0-1 yr exp) in Computer Science or a related engineering field
  • Strong understanding of complex distributed systems
  • Experience designing and developing reliable, efficient, high-performance software
  • Familiarity with OS internals and good practices for design/implementation
  • Proficiency in C++, Go, and Python
  • Ability to work as part of a dynamic team
  • Excellent problem-solving and innovation skills
  • Strong communication and customer support abilities

 

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $ 100,000 and USD $ 200,400 per year.

However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
