About the Team
The Member of Technical Staff 1 (Business Intelligence) will be joining the Analytics Team at Nutanix, located in San Jose, California. This team operates with a strong sense of collaboration and innovation, focused on leveraging data to drive informed business decisions. The team culture emphasizes understanding business needs and integrating technical expertise to deliver impactful data solutions. The mission of the Analytics Team is to provide actionable insights through data analytics and business intelligence projects, fostering a data-driven decision-making environment that enhances operational efficiency and supports business growth.
You will report to the Senior Manager, who values open communication and encourages team members to develop their soft skills alongside technical abilities. The manager's leadership style focuses on mentorship and collaboration, providing guidance to help the team navigate complex data challenges while promoting a culture of learning. The work setup for this role is purely on-site at the San Jose headquarters, requiring the new hire to come into the office five days a week.
This role does not require any travel, allowing you to focus on your key responsibilities and projects within the San Jose office. This ensures consistent collaboration with your team and business partners in a dynamic work environment.
Your Role
- Assist in data analytics and business intelligence projects to deliver actionable insights.
- Collaborate with business partners to identify and address data-related challenges.
- Develop and maintain data solutions, including dashboards and ETL pipelines.
- Conduct data analysis to inform decision-making processes across the organization.
- Enhance technical skills in SQL, data warehousing, and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Engage with cross-functional teams to gain insights into various business operations.
- Communicate findings effectively to stakeholders and support them in leveraging data.
- Contribute to a culture of innovation by proposing new ideas to improve data solutions.
What You Will Bring
- Bachelor's OR Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- Proficient SQL skills and understanding of data warehousing concepts.
- Familiarity with open source technologies, particularly Python.
- Experience with ETL processes and tools (e.g., Informatica).
- Good communication skills to interact effectively with stakeholders.
- Understanding of business operations and analytics concepts.
- Experience with reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau is a plus.
- Legal authorization to work in the US is required.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $115,000 and $130,000 yearly.
However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
