The Opportunity

The Sales Support and Shared Services team consists of approximately 15 individuals across the globe, strategically placed to cover the Worldwide sales business at Nutanix.

The team is a highly diverse set of young professionals with a mix of experience in customer support in the IT world. We have proudly driven changes to help improve the end-to-end sales cycle since our inception in 2021 and continue to drive productivity for other business units through offloading low touch tasks under the Shared Services model.

Our goal is to continue driving an excellent support model for our sales teams while driving productivity through continuous improvement in processes and responsibilities managed by our team. We’re looking for an individual who will share our vision!


About the Team

The Sales Support and Shared Services role sits within the Worldwide Deal Support and Order Management organization under Revenue operations. Your primary customer will be the Nutanix sales teams, but you will work with multiple teams involved in the sales process. Some of these teams include Deal Desk, Bid Management, Order Management, CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote), Bizapps, Product managers and others, which in turn creates a very dynamic role where the ability to analyze and lead conversations between these parties is key, as you are often the first point of contact for all Sales teams.


Your Role

  • In the Shared Services team, you will find yourself in a fast-paced environment with exposure to individuals across the globe while working within SLAs (service level agreements) to meet business requirements directly impacting our deal velocity and effectiveness. You will be expected to manage your workload through limited supervision while escalating high priority issues to the appropriate teams and points of contact. Along with the above, you will:
  • Recognizing internal customer's expectations and requirements by resolving or advising on their inquiries.
  • Opportunity and quote management via Salesforce
  • Pricing and coordination of complex and non-standard deals
  • Support multiple business units to drive deal velocity
  • Coordinate with internal teams to drive, test and execute long-term process improvements
  • Analyze and approve/reject quotes within appropriate SLA’s while driving healthy deal economics
  • Surface any quote related challenges immediately to Nutanix Leadership for remediation

What You Will Bring

  • 2+ years of customer and/or sales support experience
  • Proven ability to provide exceptional high-end customer service
  • Experience in enterprise technology sales is a plus
  • Ability to organize and pre-plan each day
  • Completing tasks with accuracy and precision
  • Accurately follow standard operating procedures established by the business unit
  • Experience with quoting processes and sales cycles
  • Proactive in finding new and innovative ways to perform job duties
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
  • Experience training or transferring technical knowledge to others (i.e., onboarding new hires to apps/system)
  • Strong Change Management Skills: Follow Up, Follow Through, Accountability, Sense of Urgency, and superior customer service
  • Independent worker & motivated individual; ability to receive direction and convert it into an action plan with coaching and feedback
  • Strong conversational and written English skills are required. Any other languages are a plus.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in business administration, IT related career or finance is a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Enterprise CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software such as Salesforce.com
  • Knowledge of ticket management via Freshdesk or similar
