About the Team
The role will be part of the Intelligent Operations team at Nutanix, which focuses on developing services for Day 2 operations including monitoring, automation and remediation. This team works on creating scalable, distributed services that enhance the efficiency of Nutanix Infrastructure management and observability workflows. The team is majorly located in Nutanix’s HQ office and embraces a culture centered around collaboration, technical excellence and a pro-active approach to problem solving. The aim of the team is to meet the customer needs for Monitoring, observability and remediation of Nutanix Infrastructure and to innovate in this space.
Your Role
- Design core software components for the NCM product, focusing on scalability and performance.
- Act as a mentor to a small pod of 2-3 junior engineers.
- Understand and implement the entire software development life cycle for assigned features, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
- Collaborate with product management and UX teams to define functionality and align on customer use cases.
- Write efficient code and conduct regular code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
- Establish and maintain transparent communication with stakeholders regarding project progress and challenges.
What You Will Bring
- 4+ years of software engineering experience.
- Previously experienced in architecting and designing core software components.
- Proficiency in C++, Java / Go, Python programming languages.
- Experience mentoring junior engineers.
- The ability to write efficient, thread-safe, and highly performant code
Work Arrangement
Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. In locations where our workplace policy applies (i.e. San Jose, Durham, Mexico City, Bangalore, Pune, Hoofddorp, Belgrade, Barcelona, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo), employees are expected to work onsite a minimum of 3 days per week to foster collaboration, team alignment, and access to in-office resources.
