The Opportunity
Are you a creative storyteller with a passion for technology, strong writing skills, and a desire to contribute to impactful communications strategies? If so, joining the Corporate Communications team at Nutanix offers you the unique opportunity to simplify complex topics, work closely with senior professionals, and play a key role in shaping the narrative of a leading hybrid multicloud computing company.
This is a 12-week internship with start dates beginning in May 2026, contingent on your availability. You will work in our San Jose, CA office (3 days/week) and remotely (2 days/week). Submit your application by November 28, 2025.

Your Role
- The VP of Corporate Communications will work with the intern to determine which projects the intern most desires, in combination with what is most needed by Nutanix. Examples include:
- Propose engaging content for corporate social media channels (LinkedIn, X, etc.) and analyze engagement metrics to optimize performance.
- Assist with public relations tasks, including crafting media materials, press releases, and monitoring daily coverage.
- Contribute to internal communications, writing articles, newsletters, and intranet content that highlight Nutanix's culture and values.
- Support executive thought leadership by researching topics related to hybrid multicloud, AI, and IT transformation to inform strategic content.
- Collaborate closely with the VP of Corporate Communications and cross-functional teams to define and execute impactful projects.
- Maintain essential operational documents, update media lists, and contribute to editorial calendars and reporting dashboards.
- Engage in mentorship opportunities, receiving guidance from senior communications professionals while executing high-impact projects.
- Deliver a final project summarizing contributions and impact on brand awareness, engagement, and business growth at the end of the internship period.
What You Will Bring
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring current or future sponsorship for an employment visa status, such as an F1, H1B, or TN visa.
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics for diverse audiences.
- Familiarity with social media platforms (LinkedIn, X, etc.) and content creation best practices.
- Basic understanding of public relations and media communications strategies.
- Research skills to support thought leadership and generate engaging content.
- Ability to analyze engagement metrics and optimize content performance.
- Collaborative mindset with effective interpersonal communication skills.
- Eagerness to learn and enthusiastic about the discipline of communications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with marketing tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Meltwater) is a plus.
Work Arrangement
On Site: This role is on-site, offering the opportunity to collaborate face-to-face with team members in a dynamic, engaging work environment. Being physically present allows for seamless teamwork and direct access to resources that support your success. Additional team-specific guidance and norms will be provided by your manager.
The pay range for this position at the commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $30 and USD $30 per year.
However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
