The Opportunity
The Sales Compensation Project Manager will lead and coordinate initiatives across the Sales Compensation ecosystem, ensuring operational excellence, data integrity, and cross-functional alignment. This role requires strong project management skills, understanding of compensation systems and workflows, and the ability to navigate complex organizational structures and data sources. You will be instrumental in driving scalable solutions and supporting compensation plan execution across global teams 
 
About the Team
At Nutanix, the Global Sales Compensation team is a dynamic,  diverse  and growing group of 11 individuals located across the United States, Mexico, and Serbia. You will report to the Sr. Director of Global Sales Compensation, who values an inclusive and empowering management style. The work setup for this position is fully remote, allowing you the flexibility to manage your own workspace. Given our focus on results over presence, you won't be required to come into the office, giving you the freedom to excel in a way that best suits your needs. Additionally, there are no travel requirements for this role, allowing you to maintain a balanced work-life without the pressure of frequent travel commitments.
 
Your Role
  • Project Management & Execution
    Lead end-to-end project delivery for compensation initiatives, including quota deployment, system readiness, and plan rollout. Manage timelines, dependencies, and stakeholder communications 
  • Data Navigation & Discovery
    Identify and access relevant data sources across systems (e.g., Pigment, Xactly), teams, and repositories. Understand team structures and locate key files and documentation to support compensation operations 
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    Partner with Sales, Finance, HR, Legal, and IT to ensure alignment and timely execution of compensation-related projects. Facilitate stakeholder engagement and feedback loops 
  • System & Process Optimization
    Support the configuration and maintenance of incentive platforms. Recommend process improvements to enhance scalability, accuracy, and agility in compensation workflows 
  • Reporting & Communication
    Develop dashboards and reporting tools to track project progress, compensation metrics, and plan effectiveness. Translate technical and operational updates into clear communications for stakeholders 
  • Compliance & Governance
    Ensure all compensation processes adhere to internal policies and external regulations. Support documentation and audit readiness efforts 
 
 
What You Will Bring
  • 5–8 years of experience in Sales Compensation, Revenue Operations, or Project Management.
  • Strong familiarity with incentive compensation platforms (e.g., Xactly, Pigment) and CRM systems.
  • Proven ability to navigate complex data environments and organizational structures.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in a global, matrixed organization preferred.
  • PMP or similar certification is a plus.

Work Arrangement
Remote: This position is primarily remote. There is no specific in-office requirement, however, there may be circumstances where you may be required to come into a local office for a specific purpose, and/or to travel to other locations based on business needs.
