Senior Portfolio Solution Architect - Nutanix Cloud Automation

Sales Amsterdam, Netherlands Hoofddorp, Netherlands Req.Num.: N1852

The Opportunity
Nutanix is looking for a Presales Solutions Architect to join the Nutanix Cloud Manager (NCM) team, focused on automation and Infrastructure as Code. In this role, you’ll be the technical expert driving customer success by designing and building automation solutions that address real business challenges across Northern Europe.

As part of the presales organization, you’ll connect customer needs with Nutanix’s automation capabilities—developing demos, leading proofs of concept, and guiding customers through architecture and implementation. This role is hands-on, centered on coding, scripting, and automation within the Build component of a Cloud Management Platform (CMP).

You’ll work closely with account teams and customers alike, translating business problems into technical solutions and showing how Nutanix can simplify and accelerate automation at scale. This is a high-impact, customer-facing position where strong technical skills and clear communication come together to help organisations modernise how they operate.

About the Team
You’ll be joining the Nutanix Cloud Manager (NCM) Solutions Architect team within our broader EMEA presales organisation, while also collaborating with the wider Worldwide NCM community, including product management and engineering. This is a collaborative group of automation specialists who share knowledge, support one another, and work closely with sales teams to help customers succeed.
While each role focuses on its region, the wider NCM team is spread across EMEA, so you’ll be part of a larger network of peers driving automation expertise across the theatre.

The position is hybrid, with flexibility to balance customer engagement, office presence, and remote work. Occasional travel may be required for regional customer events, team meetings, or industry gatherings.

Your Role
  • Act as the subject matter expert for automation within Nutanix Cloud Manager (NCM), focused on coding, scripting, and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Partner with customers to understand their challenges, design automation solutions, and guide them from early conversations through proof-of-concept and implementation.
  • Identify and nurture new opportunities by uncovering where automation can bring additional value, supporting the sales team in expanding adoption.
  • Build and deliver demos, technical presentations, and workshops for customers, partners, and field teams.
  • Support proofs of concept by installing, configuring, and maintaining Nutanix solutions.
  • Become a trusted advisor by developing long-term relationships with customers and helping them succeed with automation at scale.
  • Collaborate with product management and engineering, providing feedback on customer needs, product requirements, and market trends.
  • Contribute to team knowledge sharing and stay ahead of emerging technologies in automation and cloud management.
What You Will Bring
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in automation solutions.
  • Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and VMware Aria.
  • Strong programming skills in languages like Python, Bash, and PowerShell.
  • Experience with ServiceNow and familiarity with FinOps (preferred).
  • Ability to engage with customers effectively and build strong relationships.
  • Proactive approach to identifying opportunities and driving initiatives.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and deliver value to customers.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern application environments (containers/Kubernetes).
  • Fluency in English and the primary language of your country of residence.
