LCM simplifies Nutanix IT infrastructure life cycle operations by consolidating software and firmware component upgrades into a unified control plane, automating the entire process through a dependency chain, and creates a plan that ensures the updates are deployed with minimal number of service or host restarts.

  • Joined Nutanix in 2019 and is a Technical Director for the core-infrastructure and Lifecycle Management teams in the US 
  • He is an engineer at heart with extensive experience with distributed systems and infrastructure management, allowing him to mentor his team as well as provide guidance for growth.

Your Role

  • Be part of the Nutanix Lifecycle Management software team and design/develop a software framework to manage the lifecycle of distributed software systems. 
  • Manage and mentor a team of engineers in planning and monitoring their deliverables, through code reviews, design reviews. Provide operational and technical guidance on a day/day basis 
  • The ability to make the code extendable for a massively distributed infrastructure with several nodes with millions of entities. 
  • Excellent technical and interpersonal skills in managing career growth and resolving technical conflicts.
  • Interact with other teams across the system software stack and across geographies to clearly communicate and express your technical views and design. 
  • The ideal candidate would be up for solving complex challenges, hungry to learn and grow, with a humble attitude ready to excel with team collaboration. 

What You Will Bring

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field, and 10+ years of experience 
  • Collaborative and proactive engineer with strong technical leadership qualities 
  • Plan and execute complex technical projects spanning multiple partner teams with well-thought-out project plans
  • Career management, performance management, coaching, mentoring team members
  • Consistently delivered high quality enterprise software with a bias for action 
  • Excellent design and coding skills in any one of Python, C++, Go 
  • Ability to collaborate and solve broad problems spanning multiple teams 
  • Ability to understand customer requirements and translate that to design and code 
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving, agile environment 
  • Finely tuned critical thinking and problem-solving skills 
  • Understanding of standard data structures and algorithms
