About the Team

You will be joining the Systems Sales Engineer Team at Nutanix, which is known for its dynamic and customer-centric approach. Based in Dallas, the team is focused on identifying technical solutions that align with customer needs while providing consultative expertise to sales teams, partners, and clients. You will report to the Manager of Systems Engineering, who is dedicated to providing mentorship and guidance to help team members thrive in their roles. This manager's leadership style emphasizes support and empowerment, fostering a collaborative atmosphere where everyone can grow and succeed. The work setup for this role is primarily remote, allowing Systems Sales Engineers to engage directly with customers and partners in their respective territories without needing to go into the office.

The role requires travel up to 30% of the time, predominantly within the territory. This travel is essential for building relationships with customers, partners, and colleagues, ensuring that you can connect and deliver solutions effectively while driving business success.

This role requires candidates to reside in the metro Dallas area.

 

Your Role

  • Demonstrate Nutanix solutions' features and articulate benefits to influence customer purchasing decisions.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to develop account plans and tailored proposals aligned with customer goals.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers, positioning as a trusted resource.
  • Gather and communicate customer feedback to enhance Nutanix offerings and drive product improvements.
  • Conduct proof of concept executions, including the physical setup and configuration of hardware in datacenters.
  • Work closely with the presales team to achieve technical wins efficiently and professionally.
  • Manage multiple projects, determine urgency, and deliver on detailed action plans to meet customer needs.
  • Continuously strive for personal and professional development, aligning with Nutanix's core values of collaboration and innovation.

 

What You Will Bring

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a customer-facing technical role
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience
  • Hands-on technical aptitude with adaptability to market demands
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills in English
  • Experience with Kubernetes and Generative AI
  • Advanced virtualization knowledge and/or enterprise application expertise
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and execute detailed action plans

 

Work Arrangement

Remote: This position is primarily remote. There is no specific in-office requirement, however, there may be circumstances where you may be required to come into a local office for a specific purpose, and/or to travel to other locations based on business needs.

 

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $ 165,600 and USD $ 248,400 per year.

However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
