About the Team

At Nutanix, you'll be a part of the Sizer team, a group of 14 dedicated individuals located across various regions, including back-end, front-end, full-stack, QA engineers, and an Engineering Manager. You will report to the Director, SaaS Engineering at Nutanix.

The team thrives on a flat hierarchy that fosters transparent communication, idea exchange, and a collaborative atmosphere that empowers each member to grow and succeed. You will report to the Senior Manager, SaaS Engineering at Nutanix. 

 

Your Role

  • Your primary responsibilities will be to identify functional test scenarios to validate the applications we build for clients.
  • Validate responsive, browser-based UI applications for Multi-tenant, n-tier Web applications using technologies such as Selenium to support a hosted, cloud-based service.
  • Experience in Multi-tenant test automation frameworks.
  • Collaborate with Product Management team to translate requirements into high-quality, timely deliverable test cases.
  • You will test features to ensure they are properly built, function as they are designed to function, and correctly solve user’s problems by performing rigorous regression, system tests.
  • Identification, creation of defects, effectively follows up with the team on bug closure.
  • Works closely with team members to emphasize quality throughout the entire SDLC.
  • Help development of clean, refactored and tested code using the best-of-breed practices and technologies such as Iterative development, Continuous Delivery and Release Management.
  • Analyse and enhance test automation frameworks to improve code coverage and reliability. 
  • Continuously identify gaps in automation and implement strategies to improve quality. 
  • Review and monitor team test plans to ensure alignment with product and quality standards. 
  • Guide team members on test automation design, architecture, and best practices. 
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives for automation efficiency and scalability.

 

What You Will Bring

  • 7+ years of experience testing hosted or standalone multi-tenant web applications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Strong understanding of web technologies (HTTP/HTTPS, HTML, JavaScript, XML, JSON)
  • Hands-on experience developing automated tests using tools such as Selenium (Java), Appium, TestNG, Puppeteer, Jenkins, and Maven
  • Experience with automated testing of RESTful web services
  • Proven ability to develop clean, maintainable automated tests for both UI and backend components
  • Strong experience in developing test strategy, writing test plans and detailed test cases. 
  • Solid knowledge of testing principles, processes, and test documentation
  • Ability to develop strong domain knowledge to support product-level decision making
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integration of automated tests
  • Experience with code coverage tools and strategies to maximize test coverage
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lead and mentor junior engineers
  • Strong sense of ownership and passion for application quality

Good to have:

  • Basic scripting knowledge in Python and Shell
  • Experience working with Linux-based systems
  • Basic knowledge of relational databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL
  • Basic understanding of Apache Kafka

 

Work Arrangement

Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. In locations where our workplace policy applies (i.e. San Jose, Durham, Mexico City, Bangalore, Pune, Hoofddorp, Belgrade, Barcelona, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo), employees are expected to work onsite a minimum of 3 days per week to foster collaboration, team alignment, and access to in-office resources.
