About the Team
The Senior Systems Engineer (PreSales) will join the Systems Engineering (SE) team at Nutanix, located in Cairo, Egypt. The team is characterized by a collaborative culture where members work closely with account managers to achieve shared goals. The mission of the team is to deliver exceptional technical expertise and customer service while enhancing the capabilities of Nutanix’s innovative solutions, particularly in the areas of virtualization, storage, and cloud technology. The SE team prides itself on building strong relationships with customers and aligning their technical strategies with the overall business objectives of Nutanix.
You will report to the SE Team Lead, who values strong technical backgrounds and prioritizes team collaboration. His leadership style focuses on fostering an inclusive environment where team members are empowered to contribute their expertise while continuously improving their technical skills. The work setup for this role is primarily remote; however, team members have access to Regus offices in Cairo for meetings and collaborative work as needed, allowing for a flexible work schedule.
The travel requirements for this role indicate that approximately 90% of the work will be conducted in Cairo, with occasional travel to Alexandria or other locations in Egypt for customer events. This travel is infrequent, ensuring that the majority of work can be completed locally while still engaging with clients in person when necessary.
Your Role
- Engage with account managers and customers for pipeline generation and technical advisory.
- Develop and deliver product presentations and demonstrations to showcase solutions.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to align customer needs with Nutanix offerings.
- Manage customer expectations and provide technical support during incidents.
- Continuously enhance technical knowledge of Nutanix products and industry trends.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Actively participate in team strategies for customer success and solution implementation.
- Aim to become a trusted technical adviser and contribute to team growth by the end of the first year.
What You Will Bring
- Strong background in virtualization, storage, and cloud technology.
- Proficiency in DevOps practices, including scripting and cloud-native applications.
- Experience with Kubernetes and knowledge of AI technologies.
- Solid presales background with the ability to present solutions and conduct demonstrations.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and Arabic.
- Technical advisory skills with a focus on customer engagement and relationship building.
- Understanding of database and data center technologies.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and account managers.
How We Work
This position is primarily remote. There is no specific in-office requirement, however, there may be circumstances where you may be required to come into a local office for a specific purpose, and/or to travel to other locations based on business needs.
