Program Manager, Business Development
NOTE: This position will be based full-time in our Houston, TX office located at 990 Town & Country Blvd.
POSITION SUMMARY: The Program Manager, Business Development is responsible for managing strategic business development initiatives from opportunity identification through proposal development and transition to execution. The role coordinates with cross-functional teams, develops and maintains business processes, tracks strategic opportunities, and ensures the timely delivery of high-quality customer service and engagements. The Program Manager partners closely with senior leadership, internal and external stakeholders to support organizational growth objectives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead planning and execution of business development opportunities. Conduct initial vetting/due diligence reviews of potential customers, and makes recommendations for proceeding or declining.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual requirements, and applicable regulations throughout the Business Development Lifecycle.
- Coordinates Business Development activities for customer interactions across company organizations, including but not limited to Business Development, Regulatory Affairs and Services, Supply Chain, Product & Project Delivery, and Engineering.
- Supports customer relationship management efforts by ensuring timely communication and follow-up with customers and potential customers.
- Monitors and reports on relevant international, federal (including the US Department of Energy Laboratory Complex), state governments, and nuclear industry activities.
- Oversees the workflow process for Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) with customers, and ensures completion.
- Conducts vetting of industry conferences and governmental meetings and makes recommendations for SLT and/or ELT participation.
- Collaborates with Sales Support organization, including gathering information and coordinating leadership reviews.
- Facilitates and supports participation in media interviews and external events for Senior Leadership, the Business Development team, and the E2 Center Program Manager.
- Supports on-site customer meetings at NuScale Power facilities.
- May require travel approximately up to 50% of time, both domestic and international.
- Performs other duties as assigned, including some administrative duties.

MINIMUM SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND ABILITIES:
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Marketing, Project Management or related field. Alternatively, 8 years of highly relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of progressively increasing responsibility in business development in a technical industry. Must be proficient in MS Office suite. Experience working with business development, sales, and cross-functional organizational coordination preferred.
- Industry Requirements: Eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810.

Pay and Benefits:
The target pay range for this position is $124,400 - $150,138 annually. The full pay range is $111,531 - $174,446 annually.
