1.   PRE-REQUISITE:

 

Able to contribute to the work group as a team player

Experience working on Projects.

Customer service skills including the ability to work with customers in completing their circuit/service installations

Detailed understanding and working knowledge of IGP routing protocols including ISIS, OSPF, RIP, RIP v2, EIGRP, EGP-BGP

Working knowledge of MPLS-VPNs (L3 and L2 VPNs), BGP and MPBGP, QOS, IPSec and other VPNs

Working knowledge of Switching techniques: VLAN, VTP, STP, ISL / Ether-Channel

Good understanding of OSI Layer 1 and 2 protocols

Experience on Firewalls is preferred

Thorough knowledge of provisioning circuits including working directly with circuit providers

2.   RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Responsible for implementing complete end-to-end Network Solutions for the customers

Responsible for interacting with internal groups, vendors and customers to coordinate the timely implementation of customer networks and data services

Responsible for the final installation of circuits and data services, to a great “customer satisfaction”.

Coordinate with internal Virtela groups, vendors/suppliers, and customers to implement customer orders in a thorough and timely manner.

Manage the overall process of implementing complex, technical installations.

Responsible for the final installation of circuits and data services to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction.

Assist in developing processes and procedures for the final installation and turn-up of circuits and data services.

Any additional task given to the incumbent from time to time based on business needs

3.  TRAINING AND CERTIFICATION REQUIRED FOR JOB

Professional Certifications like CCIE, CCNP, CCIP, JNCIA, JNCIS is desirable

4.  EXPERIENCE:

Minimum 3 years of progressive, relevant experience and proven capability to work in a complex network environment

5. EDUCATION:

Bachelor in Engineering - Computers/Electronics/Communication or related field

Graduate/Post Graduate in Science/Maths/IT or related streams with relevant technology experience

6. TECHNOLOGIES AND OTHER SKILLS:

Good communication skills - written as well as verbal

Passion to work on core technology platform
