1.1.2 PRE-REQUISITES
- In-depth hands-on experience in handling 24x7 operations in Global MSP/ISP/IDC/NOC/SOC outsourcing and Shared Services environment
- High level of skills in areas of Network Security Services and Solutions and managing large globally distributed clients
- Handled multi-vendor/platform Security technologies including Firewall, IPS, VPN, Proxies and supported more than 500+ security devices
- Hands-on experience Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, Blue coat, F5 Security, Zscaler, Fortinet technologies
- In touch with latest security threats and vulnerabilities to IT environment
- Flexible to manage stressful situations and adapt to rapidly changing environments and requirements
- Ability to work days, evenings and weekends as required; 24x7 support in rotating shifts
- Analytical thinker willing to “think outside the box” to resolve customer impacting situations on first contact; understand customer pain
- Cloud Infrastructure Mgmt: Cloudstack, Openstack
- Scripting language: Ruby, Perl, or Python
- Lead the team from front and be an example
- Exceptional documentation and communication skills
- MS Office proficiency
1.1.3 RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operations Management
- Run day-to-day Security Operations Center Business as Usual (BAU) functions 24x7
- Handle all areas of SOC operations/Delivery including Incident, Problem and Change Management as per ITIL framework
- Handle complex escalations and provide support to Shift Leads and other SOC resources
- Observe ticket queue, participate in Severity 1 and Severity 2 tickets and lead from front
- Focus on incident reduction activities and assist in creating Service Improvement Program for key accounts
- Be an account SPOC (Single Point of Contact) for large accounts
- Ensure asset compliance activities such as keeping track of licensing, support contracts, etc.
- Proactively identify risks and vulnerabilities for different security vendors and specific technologies
- Provide weekly and monthly performance reports and measurement metrics
- Identify challenging assignments, project and execute them along with BAU
- SOC tools’ management and administration support
- Get things done in a complex and multilevel organization
- Maintain and develop SOC process, policies and procedures as required
- Design and execute security operations processes; identify and measure critical Security Operations metrics; and continually improve the efficiency of the Security Operations function
- People Management
- Oversee the management of resources in Security Operations team
- Plan and manage monthly shift roster
- Review the need of resources and skills within the team and plan for skill development programs (technical as well as client handling)
- Mentor and conduct training programs
- Identify and develop high potential employees in order to build operational bench strength and excellence
- Create and present annual evaluations, performance development plans and KRAs
- Conduct weekly meetings with the team with clear expectations
- Foster teamwork and show commitment to team objectives; promote collaboration and remove obstacles
- Any additional task given to the incumbent from time-to-time based on business needs
1.1.4 TRAINING AND CERTIFICATION
- PCNSA, PCNSE, CCNA, CCSA/SE, CCSP, JNCIS-SEC, JNCIS-FWV, JNCIS-SSL, Checkpoint, ITIL , CISSP, CEH, ISO27000 LA,
1.1.5 EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 7 years of progressive, relevant experience and proven capability to work in a complex network environment
1.1.6 EDUCATION
- Bachelor in Engineering - Computers/Electronics/Communication or related field
- Graduate/Post Graduate in Science/Maths/IT or related streams with relevant technology experience
