What you will do

You will be joining a high-performance technical team responsible for the design and implementation of a multi-tenant SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) solution for real-time surveying of patients. The solution is a 100% web-based application that supports electronic-surveying, service recovery workflow and business intelligence around patient experience.


As the Manager/Team Lead – User Insights, you will be responsible for all aspects of activities and work products of software development fort the User Interfaces of our systems. The engineering manager will help define and implement a software development process that includes, but is not limited to, architecture and design, coding/testing, release/sprint planning, and sprint execution. This position is a leadership role which includes both providing technical direction and promoting the professional growth of the staff. Your ability to lead all aspects of the software development autonomously and proactively is a critical requirement.   You will be working collaboratively with the Engineering and Program Management Delivery Team to understand feasibility and design solution options for product requests and provide effort estimates to help drive informed prioritization of engineering initiatives. You will bring technical recommendations and a big picture perspective to solutioning conversations. In addition:


Additional Responsibilities

  • Lead the software development team through all aspects of the software development process including technical analysis, architecture/design and implementation.
  • Drive a culture of First Time Quality and Perfect Product
  • Work closely with stakeholders within program management, quality assurance, and operations to successfully deliver and deploy solutions to production on time, and with quality.
  • Support development and evolution of software development and delivery processes
  • Support agile development methodologies to facilitate the software development process
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to drive planning of product releases, prioritization of products and features, and optimize resource utilization
  • Track resource needs for project execution and recruit and hire resources as required
  • Monitor and drive inter-team coordination
  • Manage business expectations by setting realistic goals and managing risks through mitigation and contingency plans, providing timely management updates


 What you need

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, preference in Computer Science or computer engineering
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering technical solutions that are stable, scalable, secure and reliable.
  • 5+ years of .NET software development experience.
  • 3+ years of experience managing software development teams using Scrum/Agile Development methodologies.
  • 3+ years of experience with processes and process improvement to drive first time quality.
  • Solid understanding of systems and application design.
  • Experience with CI/CD and associated toolsets.
  • Excellent communication skills (presentation, verbal, and written).
  • ability to work with multiple cultures and multisite teams.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare data and analytics technologies, processes and challenges.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

What is preferred

  • 3+ years of healthcare analytics experience, consumer analytics experience
  • Experience utilizing AWS CloudFormation to automate the deployment of AWS resources.
  • Experience with Tableau
  • Experience with Git and Git Workflows (gitflow, pull requests, etc.).
  • Experience developing applications on Cloud (AWS, Azure) environments.
  • Experience developing applications using Docker containers.
  • Experience developing serverless applications.
