Position Description

 

Position Summary

Associated Universities, Inc. (AUI) is seeking candidates for a full-time E-Learning Project Manager (PM), with a specific focus on developing online cybersecurity courses. The PM will be hired as a full-time, term-employee through June 2023. The ideal candidate will have experience developing online training material, project management expertise, some background in cybersecurity, and the ability to work as part of a dynamic, collaborative team focused on solving problems. The capacity to rapidly learn how to use new programs and platforms is also essential. The PM will serve as an integral part of the AUI team as we provide online training to public and private sector clients in cybersecurity domains.

 

Specific responsibilities will include managing online Learning Management Systems (LMSs), using e-Learning authoring tools to create digital content, and managing client relationships. As the portfolio of courses will largely focus on cybersecurity topics, some familiarity with cybersecurity is desired. Experience with graphic design, creative writing, and multi-media presentations are also preferred. This position will allow for most of the work to be conducted remotely with the occasional on-site working meetings at AUI’s office in Vienna, VA. In addition, some travel (less than 10%) may be required to visit client work sites in the future.

 

Key Responsibilities

Specific responsibilities will include serving as the project manager for AUI’s cybersecurity course development portfolio, managing AUI’s online Learning Management Systems (LMSs), using e-Learning authoring tools to create digital content, and managing client relationships. As the portfolio of courses will largely focus on cybersecurity topics, some familiarity with cybersecurity is desired. Experience with graphic design, creative writing, and multi-media presentations are also preferred.

 

Position Requirements

Minimum Education

          Undergraduate (Bachelor’s) degree with a concentration in multi-media content development, e-learning, cybersecurity, or relevant work experience that demonstrates these competencies.

 

Minimum Experience

          At least 1-3 years working with e-learning systems and content development. AUI is considering filling several roles in this area, so both early career and more senior-level candidates are encouraged to apply.

          Experience in a cybersecurity related field such as cybersecurity training or assessments.

          Experience using e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, or iSpring.

          Certified expertise in LMS management and using Content Management Systems (e.g., WordPress).

          Experience in instructional design.

          Experience with budget development and fiscal management related to managing e-learning initiatives.

          Familiarity with cybersecurity certifications.

          Experience in Office 365 (full suite), Adobe, video editors, and/or similar products.

          Experience with project management tools, Microsoft Project and/or similar products.

          Preferred: project management experience in the e-learning space.

 

Skills

          Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

          Effectiveproblem-solvingskills.

          Excellent skills related to quickly learning how to use and configure online tools and program.

Qualifications

          Must be able to multi-task, work independently and as part of a team, share workloads, and deal with sudden shifts in project priorities and able to support fast turnarounds with surge capabilities.

          Able to produce reports, analytics, and presentations based on client and business needs.

          Have or be able to receive a federal clearance.

          The ideal candidate will have documented history of the responsibilities and experiences listed.

 

Physical Conditions/Nature of Work

          This individual will be required to sit and work on a computer for prolonged period of times.

          Will need to communicate via email, phone, and virtually.
