About the Role
The Director of Project Delivery plays a crucial role in ensuring that the right projects are completed successfully, on time, and within budget. You will support project diligence and lead pre-construction activities for wind, solar, and storage projects. 
  • Provide technical expertise during early-stage development on construction and equipment assumptions, layouts, and supply chain timelines. 
  • Collaborate with development, technical operations, and external consultants to ensure alignment on project design. 
  • Lead feasibility analysis, final designs, siting requirements, and the independent engineer report. 
  • Manage the procurement and supply chain process including demand analysis, leading RFPs, contracting, and supplier selection, while ensuring corporate governance and risk management
  • Lead the diligence and selection of construction management, O&M, and asset management service providers
  • Guide and support stakeholders with any contract implementation, contract management, or supplier-related issues
  • Secure required project insurance and/or estimates 
  • Proactively engage and maintain relationships with key vendors
  • Work cross-functionally with the Commercial, Finance, Development, and Legal teams to drive sound investment decisions, consistent documentation, record keeping, and proforma inputs 
  • Lead the organization and collection of investment materials along with leading preparation for Investment Committee meetings
About You
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in the renewable power industry with significant wind/solar/storage experience at the pre-construction phase.
  • Knowledge of basic engineering concepts associated with renewable energy facilities (geotechnical, civil, structural, electrical).
  • Ability to interact with people at all levels of the corporate structure, prioritize and handle numerous competing demands in a high-volume, fast-paced working environment 
  • Proven ability to work effectively in independent settings 
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of contacts including outside attorneys, senior management, and business associates 
  • Manage various project delivery and operations department projects and initiatives 
  • Ability to work independently 
  • Identify and resolve or escalate issues in a timely manner 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Travel up to 35%
  • Bachelor's degree in for Engineering preferred or equivalent experience is acceptable in lieu of a degree
