The National Marketing Office deliver high quality, insight-driven and evidence-based marketing strategies, and initiatives to support the University’s mission and objectives. The office collaborates with the Faculties, Schools and all Offices and Departments across the University to build and strengthen the University’s brand and reputation.
About the role
The National Project Marketing Manager reports to the National and International Director of Marketing and drives the national delivery of insight-driven marketing strategies, initiatives, and projects to support the University’s objectives. This role will own and execute the domestic and international marketing campaign and channel management strategy, identify, and implement innovative ways to attract and convert future students, optimise conversation rates to support business decisions and recruitment outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Work in conjunction with the National and International Director of Marketing to develop the annual domestic and international marketing plans. The National Project Marketing Manager is responsible to implement, evaluate, and continuously improve strategies relating to the marketing plans and objectives. Leveraging all marketing and communication tools throughout to ensure they align with the enrolment plan objectives.
- Support the development and implementation of marketing and communications activities to promote the University’s programs (courses), focused on driving demand and achieving domestic and international student load targets and increasing the University’s market share.
- Manage the marketing campaign channels ensuring optimised channel recommendations and campaigns are implemented to support undergraduate and postgraduate enrolment targets and new program/course launches.
- Strategic planning ability to measure, analyse and evaluate performance of campaigns against agreed objectives, and utilise learnings to optimise future campaigns.
- Overseeing the development and execution of creative and impactful multi-channel marketing campaigns that deliver student attraction and acquisition outcomes.
- Supervising the marketing recruitment projects and effectively prioritise and manage marketing projects, campaigns, workflows, and schedules to meet deadlines and objectives.
- Build strong working relationships with Faculties, Schools and all Offices and Departments across the University to progress marketing campaigns and projects, providing insights and meaningful analysis to inform project outcomes, maximise cross-collaboration, and marketing deliverables to agreed plans.
- Provide direction and guidance to the Program Marketing Officers and work with them to develop Faculty domestic and international multi-channel campaign strategies that drives demand and applications to support the University’s student recruitment objectives. Lead and support the team to ensure comprehensive management and support is provided.
- Develop effective working relationships with our external partners and agencies.
- Comply with all other reasonable training and duties as identified by the line manager (or delegate).

Qualifications, skills & experience
- Postgraduate qualifications in marketing, advertising, business or in a related field, or an equivalent combination of relevant professional experience and /or education/training
- At least 5 years’ experience in marketing or an equivalent level of industry knowledge, preferably in tertiary or other education sectors
- Demonstrated experience in conceptualising, developing, reviewing and executing marketing projects in complex environments.
- In-depth experience driving and managing large scale domestic and international recruitment marketing and campaign strategies, channels, and tools with a demonstrated understanding of audience segments, and the prospective student journey that result in recruitment targets being achieved.
- Highly motivated with proven ability in providing effective leadership, direction and professional development for multidisciplinary teams, with the ability to adapt, be agile and to embed a customercentric and high performance team culture.
- Proven organisational skills and attention to detail, with a demonstrated ability to prioritise workload and to work effectively, both independently and as part of a team, meeting competing deadlines and delivering
- high quality outcomes.
- Experience in effective relationship management and liaison with advertising suppliers, contractors, and external agencies to supporting the implementation of marketing campaigns utilising a broad range of channels.
- Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking skills and demonstrated ability to evaluate and adjust campaigns to optimise performance and support recruitment objectives.
- Demonstrated knowledge of current digital marketing technologies and techniques.
- Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills and collaboration capabilities.
