About the role
As a Functional Business Analyst, you’ll leverage your expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 to design, configure and optimise CRM solutions that enhance student attraction, engagement, and success. Working across Sales, Customer Service, Contact Centre and Customer Insights modules, you’ll gather requirements, drive continuous improvement, and align technology with strategic goals. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed business analysis and translate functional requirements into scalable CRM solutions using Microsoft Dynamics 365, ensuring alignment with higher education business processes and strategic objectives.
- Conceptualize, develop, and review end-to-end solution development by collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Execute configuration and optimization of CRM components, including user interfaces, business process flows, automation, security roles, field-level access controls, and system governance across environments.
- Develop automated solutions and integrations using Power Apps, Power Automate, and Azure Logic Apps to streamline operations and deliver actionable insights across the student lifecycle.
- Provide strategic advice on CRM eco-system, architecture, data quality management and integration frameworks.
- Champion user engagement, training, and change adoption strategies to maximize system uptake and support the University’s student success goals.
- Stay current with Microsoft roadmap updates, evaluating and recommending new features, capabilities, and innovations that enhance student recruitment, engagement, and success.
Qualifications, skills & experience
- Postgraduate qualification in Information Technology or Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Functional Consultant Associate, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience as a Functional Business Analyst with expertise in systems analysis, functional design, configuration, and solution delivery in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement.
- Strong understanding of CRM strategy, customer lifecycle management, and sales operations in complex organizational settings.
- Hands-on experience with Dynamics 365 CE configuration/customization, Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI), Dataverse architecture, and Model-Driven Apps.
- Skilled in security governance, access controls, Microsoft 365/Azure integrations, and Power BI development (including DAX and data modeling).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business language; familiar with Agile methodologies and Azure DevOps.
