About the office

The Prospective Students Office (PSO) is responsible for driving the University’s objectives in relation to the recruitment activities for domestic prospective students across all programs and supports the successful transition of strategy into operational plans across the entire student recruitment journey.

About the role

As a Student Recruitment Coordinator, you will build strong relationships with schools, career advisers, RTOs, and pathway providers, while delivering presentations, events, campus tours, and recruitment initiatives that inspire future students. You will guide prospective students through the application and enrolment process, manage enquiry and conversion activities, and work closely with Admissions, Marketing, Faculties, and Student Services to deliver an exceptional student experience. The position reports to the National Manager, Prospective Students Office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive domestic student recruitment and conversion activities.
  • Build and manage relationships with schools, career advisers, RTOs, and pathway partners.
  • Act as the key contact for assigned schools and develop tailored engagement plans.
  • Coordinate school visits, presentations, campus tours, and recruitment events.
  • Support Student Ambassador recruitment, training, and engagement.
  • Manage enquiries and lead follow-up across multiple channels.
  • Use recruitment and market data to inform engagement strategies.
  • Develop and enhance recruitment materials and communications.
  • Collaborate with Admissions, Marketing, Faculties, and Student Services teams.
  • Maintain knowledge of University programs and admission requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with University policies, branding, and privacy requirements.

Qualifications, skills & experience

As part of the selection process the preferred applicant will be required to obtain a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC), hold a current C-Class Driver’s License to travel within the metropolitan area and be available for after hours and weekend work as required.

  • Relevant degree and/or equivalent experience.
  • Proven student recruitment and student conversion experience.
  • Understanding of the student recruitment lifecycle from enquiry to enrolment.
  • Experience managing events, projects, or engagement activities.
  • Experience using CRM systems and databases.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and public speaking skills.
  • Ability to analyse data and prepare reports.
  • Proactive, results-focused, and able to take initiative.
  • Excellent organisation, time management, and prioritisation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, adapt to changing priorities, and meet deadlines.
