About the role

You will be responsible for supporting the Home2Health team with various with research projects including undertaking literature reviews, preparing presentation materials, updating databases, and other administrative activities. The Home2Health research team is based within the Institute for Health Research at the Fremantle campus. The team is involved in a wide range of research and evaluation, particularly focusing on reducing health inequalities for people experiencing homelessness and other social disadvantage.   

Key Responsibilities

  • Support research project activities, including preparation of research reports, ensuring information contained is correct and completed to a professional standard.
  • Support the development of research projects, including literature reviews, preparing ethics applications, and drafting evaluation materials.
  • Maintain clear notes and records of all work undertaken and make these available upon request.
  • Comply with all other reasonable training and duties as identified by the line manager (or delegate).
  • Comply with University policies and procedures in all aspects of their work and conduct. 

Qualifications, skills & experience

  • Completion of a diploma level qualification in a relevant discipline, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Previous experience in Academic writing (including referencing software packages).
  • Currently undertaking a degree in appropriate area of study (e.g., health sciences, public health, biostatistics, allied health etc) is beneficial.
  • Previous experience working in a research assistant role is beneficial, as is having worked with not for profit organisation.
