About the role

We are seeking a motivated, experienced and collaborative academic to take on the role of National Quality & Assessment Coordinator. The role supports national consistency in assessment, ensuring practices across all campuses are fair, robust, and aligned with regulatory and accreditation requirements, including AHPRA and ANMAC standards

This is a workload- allocated role reflecting its leadership support, strong focus on coordination, quality assurance and national consistency oversight responsibilities.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the coordination and continuous improvement of assessment practices across all campuses, including the development, implementation, and review of tools, rubrics, and moderation processes
  • Drive consistency and compliance through moderation and quality assurance activities, monitoring outcomes and implementing improvements aligned with accreditation and fitness-to-practise requirements
  • Provide expert advice on competency-based assessment, academic integrity, and professional standards
  • Support capability development of academic and clinical staff in assessment and evaluation practices
  • Contribute to scholarship and innovation in nursing and/or midwifery education

Qualifications, skills & experience

In addition to the requirements of the Academic Classification Level (typically of a Level C) that underpin this role, the following apply:

  • Registration as a Nurse and/or Midwife with AHPRA
  • Experience in clinical education, teaching and learning, and assessment quality assurance
  • Strong understanding of accreditation requirements and competency-based assessment
  • Proven ability to lead, influence, and support colleagues across a multi-campus environment
  • Highly developed analytical, organisational, and communication skills
