About the role
This role will support strategic curriculum alignment, credit transfer frameworks, and collaborative partnerships with VET providers to ensure seamless student transitions and recognition of prior learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of curriculum mapping between VET and HE programs.
- Develop academic frameworks and tools to align competencies, learning outcomes, and assessment standards across qualifications.
- Conduct gap analyses and benchmarking to identify overlaps and integration opportunities.
- Design and implement models for credit transfer, articulation agreements, and recognition of prior learning (RPL).
- Ensure compliance with TEQSA, ASQA, and institutional policies.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of VET to HE pathways and HE pathways to VET qualifications, recommending improvements and innovations.
- Collaborate and consult with course coordinators, program directors, faculties, and VET staff and external VET providers.
- Support strategic initiatives aimed at expanding access and participation in higher education or providing exit VET pathways.
Qualifications, skills & experience
- A level C Academic employee will normally have a relevant doctoral qualification or equivalent accreditation and standing together with subsequent research experience.
- A postgraduate qualification in education, curriculum design, or a relevant discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in curriculum development and mapping across VET and HE sectors.
- Strong understanding of AQF levels, national training packages, and higher education standards.
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as TEQSA, ASQA, and the AQF
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
