About the role
You will lead the administration team and coordinate clinical placements across the School of Nursing and Midwifery, ensuring seamless operations, accreditation compliance, strong stakeholder partnerships, and an exceptional placement experience for students.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the administrative team, ensuring efficient operations, high service standards, and compliance with University policies and procedures.
- Coordinate clinical placements for nursing and midwifery students, ensuring alignment with curriculum, accreditation requirements, and regulatory standards.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare providers, industry partners, academic staff, and students to support successful placement outcomes.
- Manage placement systems, records, reporting, and data to ensure accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement.
- Provide high-level administrative support, including preparing reports, coordinating meetings, managing communications, and supporting procurement and finance processes.
- Coordinate teaching timetables, placement schedules, and key School events, including orientations and training sessions, to ensure the smooth delivery of academic and placement activities.
Qualifications, skills & experience
- Possession of a degree qualification with relevant experience or an equivalent combination of experience, education and training.
- Demonstrated administrative capability with previous experience within a university or tertiary environment, would be highly desirable.
- Highly developed communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships, engage and influence a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Excellent operational, organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage competing deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Demonstrated High level proficiency in using administrative and management software to track and report on placement data such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe, Timetabling and Data Base programs (Allocate, Sonia, CELCAT), and video-conferencing tools.
