About the office

Student Administration delivers specialist administrative, regulatory and operational support across the University, maintaining the integrity of student records, processes and compliance requirements while supporting Faculties, Schools and other University departments.

About the role

Contribute to the effective management of the University’s student administration systems, supporting the collection, storage, processing, reporting and analysis of student data across the student lifecycle, from enrolment through to graduation.

The role focuses on maintaining accurate records, supporting administrative processes, ensuring data integrity, and providing operational support to Faculties, Schools and University departments. This position reports to the Senior Team Leader, Student Administration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the day-to-day administration and operational activities of Student Administration, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
  • Proactively assist in identifying problems and suggest improvements that are evidence-based and consider relevant best practice principles, relevant policies and systems.
  • Contribute to promoting a positive and quality client service culture and collaborate as a team member to achieve successful outcomes for tasks.
  • Provide support for a wide range of student services as required, particularly during peak periods according to where demand is greatest across Student Administration including student tuition and other payments, enrolment support and other areas.
  • Assist with referred student enquiries and other duties as requested by the Senior Team Leader Student Administration.

Qualifications, skills & experience

  • Completion of a Diploma, Certificate IV or Degree in a relevant area and/or a minimum 2-3 years’ experience working in a customer-focused administration role preferably in the Higher Education sector.
  • Demonstrated sound administrative, data entry, and organisational skills with excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Efficient communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to address and relate well to a broad range of students and stakeholders.
  • Ability to demonstrate flexibility, work under pressure to manage conflicting priorities and meet strict deadlines.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of customer service within a busy working environment.
  • Knowledge in understanding of confidentiality, data protection and safe record keeping protocols of student information and data.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of university policies and procedures or capability of acquiring knowledge.
  • Supportive of the Objects of Notre Dame as a Catholic University.
