About the role
This is a significant academic leadership opportunity for a high-performing Level C academic to contribute to the national coordination, quality assurance and national consistency of the Bachelor of Nursing program.
Working in partnership with the National Program Coordinator – Undergraduate Nursing and National Head of Discipline, you will provide leadership across campuses to ensure ANMAC accreditation compliance, curriculum consistency across campuses and excellence in delivery, high quality student experience, academic standards and accreditation compliance.
The School of Nursing invites expressions of interest for the role of National Deputy Program Coordinator – Undergraduate Nursing for WA.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide academic leadership for the national delivery of the BN program, ensuring curriculum consistency, quality, and compliance with ANMAC and University standards.
- Support program oversight, review, and continuous improvement initiatives, including accreditation reporting and monitoring.
- Mentor and support academic staff to enhance teaching quality, assessment integrity, and scholarly practice.
- Contribute to governance processes, including program committees, curriculum meetings, and reporting structures.
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and collaborative culture across the School and campuses.
- Monitor and enhance student engagement, progression, and outcomes through proactive academic oversight and support initiatives.
- This is a workload-allocated role reflecting its leadership, coordination, and national oversight responsibilities.
Qualifications, skills & experience
In addition to the requirements of the Academic Classification Level (typically of a Level C) that underpin this role, the following apply:
- Demonstrated experience in undergraduate nursing education and program coordination.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of curriculum design, accreditation requirements and quality assurance processes.
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, influence and support academic colleagues, fostering collaboration across teams and professional growth.
- Commitment to evidence-based teaching, innovation, and continuous improvement in program delivery.
- A strong student-centred approach with a focus on engagement, support, and academic success.
- A willingness to contribute to program-level research or professional development initiatives.
