About the role
Responsible for providing campus-wide Continuous Professional Learning (CPL) for academics and delivering strategic projects in line with the Objects and priorities of the University. Responsible for cultivating relationships across campuses and acting as an ambassador for teaching and learning excellence.
Promotes an evidence-based approach to enhance teaching and learning initiatives for staff that supports positive outcomes for students. Brings a specialised area of expertise and demonstrated knowledge in teaching and learning in higher education to advance a university strategic area.
Key Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders, in particular: faculties, academics, Associate Deans Learning & Teaching, and members of Curriculum & Quality on achieving strategic priorities in learning and
teaching - Take a leadership role in engaging with academics and university committees on design and implementation of evidence-based good learning and teaching and curricula practices that transform the
student learning experience - Develop and deliver Continuous Professional Learning (CPL) for staff so that they can apply appropriate pedagogical approaches in the enhancement of all areas of learning and teaching and scholarship
- Develop and deliver programs in the postgraduate qualification in Learning and Teaching for Higher Education.
Qualifications, skills & experience
- PhD or equivalent experience and standing in higher education, or a related area.
- Extensive experience in successfully leading the design, implementation and evaluation of systemic initiatives and academic programs that build learning, teaching and leadership capability, and enhance the development of communities in learning and teaching and scholarship.
