  • Implement authentication, authorisation, and security mechanisms to ensure secure and reliable access to systems and data.
  • Orchestrate business logic tailored to the portal experience, enabling efficient and real-time data access and processing.
  • Support Power Platform integrations and drive system performance optimisation to deliver a smooth, responsive, and secure user experience.
  • Collaborate closely with front-end developers, integration teams, and IT stakeholders to define API requirements, validate integration points, and optimise data flows.
  • Provide technical leadership by setting development standards, guiding technical direction, and mentoring junior team members.

Qualifications, skills & experience

  • A relevant degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Strong back-end development experience, with deep expertise in API gateway and middleware development, system orchestration, and unified API layers.
  • Hands-on experience designing and managing APIs (RESTful APIs, GraphQL, webhooks), including robust error handling, logging, and response standardisation.
  • Proven experience implementing secure authentication and authorisation mechanisms, including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, and role-based access control (RBAC).
  • Experience with Microsoft technologies, including Azure services (API Management, Logic Apps, Functions), Microsoft Power Platform integrations, and enterprise integration platforms such as Talend.
  • Strong understanding of API and system performance optimisation (caching, rate limiting, data optimisation), Agile delivery practices, and effective collaboration with cross-functional technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Benefits

  • Fast paced environment with opportunity for professional growth
  • Generous training and development opportunities
  • Friendly and collaborative working environment
