NOW HIRING: Junior Staff Accountant

We are in search of the best to provide accounting support to our businesses. In this role, you will start out primarily working in Accounts Payable: processing vendor payments, creating new vendor accounts, and reviewing vendor invoice coding.  Over time you can expect to be cross-trained throughout the department.

Wage: $24.00 - $26.00

Location: Renton, WA

Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Requirements:

  • Accounting Associates Degree with three years of general accounting experience OR bachelor’s degree in accounting with two years of general accounting experience
  • Experience working in a multiple company, multi-division, or multi-department environment 
  • Adept with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Customer service orientation: open and collaborative work style with internal and external customers
  • Professional behavior, even under a deadline-driven environment
  • Demonstrated success working in confidential, deadline-driven environments 
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision on multiple tasks
  • Experience working MS Great Plains or similar general ledger software preferred

Responsibilities but not limited to:

  • Creating, analyzing, and maintaining vendor accounts.
  • Assist with maintenance of vendor contracts and agreements
  • Code vendor invoices accurately
  • Vendor invoice routing and approval; Integration processing to the accounting program
  • Process weekly vendor payment processing
  • Initiate positive contact with vendors to resolve invoicing issues
  • Calculate month-end accruals as needed
  • Prepare journal entries as needed
  • Assist with balance sheet reconciliations
  • Consistently and accurately maintain necessary account files and reports
  • Manage company credit card program
  • Assist with managing City, County, and State business licenses and registrations
  • Assist with managing Property and vehicle fleet tracking (licenses, insurance, lease agreements) Prepare other miscellaneous full-cycle accounts payable functions, as needed
  • Consistently and accurately maintain necessary account files and reports
  • Support insurance claims database and transactions
  • Interacts positively with internal and external customers
  • Positively suggest process improvements
  • Backup cash management and billing as needed
