Northwest Center is looking for a Warehouse Supervisor to join the Big Blue Truck team!

The Big Blue Truck (BBT) division has been in continuous operation since 1967 and is the longest sustainable social enterprise of Northwest Center. BBT collects public donations that generate revenue crucial for Northwest Center's programs and services for people of all abilities.

Location: SeaTac, WA
Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Wage: $25 - $29.98 per hour

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervising the functions and work of the warehouse associates
  • Delegating and assigning tasks, projects, and evaluating work of the warehouse team
  • Adhering to compliance of all OSHA, DOT, and safety procedures
  • Managing and properly reporting all product inventory, supplies, and equipment
  • Supervising proper shift allocations and ensuring work efficiencies of the warehouse team
  • Organizing and conducting necessary training activities for the warehouse associates
  • Ensuring proper storage and function of all warehouse tools and equipment
  • Providing daily clean-up of warehouse work areas to ensure a clean and safe environment
  • Cross-training for opening/closing dispatch roles
  • Ensuring correct product is loaded, staged, and/or ready for delivery
  • Operate equipment as necessary, including up to 26' straight truck

Requirements

  • Logistics/Transportation/Distribution/Warehouse or related experience
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid WA State Driver's License
  • Ability to operate a forklift and obtain certification
  • Verbal and written communication skills necessary to communicate with various audiences
  • Software skills, including the use of Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to stand/walk on various surfaces for extended periods
  • Comfortable with bending, stooping, crouching, and reaching
  • Ability to regularly lift 50 lbs,  up to 70 lbs on occasion
