Description

Northwest Center seeks a strategic and systems-minded Manager of Information Technology (IT) to oversee daily IT operations and ensure consistent, reliable support throughout the organization. As an $80M nonprofit social enterprise with more than 900 diverse employees, the organization depends on technology to enable connectivity, operational efficiency, and scalable service delivery.
 
This role will focus on leading a small internal team of technologists and managing vendor relationships. An ideal candidate for this role will be comfortable working across varying levels of IT maturity, customer-service focused, and willing to roll up their sleeves and get hands-on when necessary.
 
Location: SeaTac and Seattle, WA | Hybrid
Wage Range: $130k - $170k Annual Salary
Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8 am – 5 pm

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team supporting multiple  locations with a variety of corporate IT operations disciplines, including service desk, infrastructure, networking, identity and endpoint management  
  • Establish and maintain clear IT standards, procedures, and documentation, including SOPs and knowledge base articles, so that work is consistent and repeatable
  • Lead continuous improvement through policies, standardization, and processes enhancing service delivery and availability
  • Manage Hardware, software, and system inventory, including purchasing, maintenance, and vendor negotiation and coordination
  • Monitor IT systems for issues or risks and take action to prevent disruptions or data loss
  • Maintain secure and compliant technology environment aligned with company standards and best practices
  • Evaluate new or existing technology tools and make practical recommendations to improve reliability and efficiency
  • Lead and support the IT team, including hiring, training, performance feedback, and day-to-day work direction
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to determine business and systems requirements to recommend/deliver IT solutions
  • Collaborate with leadership to support budgeting, planning, and execution of technology initiatives
  • Create and track service metrics, including SLAs, uptime, response times, reliability, and operational health
  • Manage vendor relationships, ensuring optimal performance of outsourced IT services and solutions
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of IT leadership experience with direct ownership of core corporate systems and IT operations in a multi-site environment
  • 5+ Years of experience providing IT support for an organization using the Microsoft Technology stack, including Azure, 365, Teams, Power, Entra ID, Intune, Defender, Purview, Sentinel, Secure Service Edge, etc.
  • Experience leading IT projects/initiatives from idea to completion
  • Experience in nonprofit, education, healthcare, or social enterprise environments preferred.
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as HIPAA, SOC 2, or related standards preferred.
  • Experience supporting distributed or hybrid workforces preferred.
  • An understanding of accessibility and inclusive technology practices is preferred.
  • Demonstrated forward-thinking, hands-on leader who takes ownership and drives outcomes
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
