Northwest Center is seeking a transformative leader to join our Senior Leadership team as the Senior Vice President of Building Services. The Building Services Division is the largest of Northwest Center’s social enterprises. It is a leading provider of facility services solutions with revenues of over $35 million and more than 500 workers deployed throughout Washington, Idaho, and Virginia. We serve government and public sector, technology, and commercial sectors today and are on a mission to expand our sector offerings in the next year.    


Position: Senior Vice President of Building Services 

Location: Remote work opportunity 
Northwest Center is headquartered in the Seattle Region, but this a remote opportunity with 25% Seattle travel required. 

Salary: DOE 


We are seeking a results-focused operations executive to champion a commitment to inclusion, equity, and anti-racism while working to optimize our current business operations, expand awareness of our service offerings, drive exponential growth and scale, and deliver on bottom-line results. This role will oversee departments providing staffing, maintenance solutions, custodial/janitorial, landscaping, reception, parking services, mailroom operations, shipboard loading, and more. Our new leader will have the ability to exceed our established goals and drive business performance through data and KPI’s. This is a growth-minded individual well versed in finance with full P&L accountability and a desire to create a strong cash flow position with a disciplined approach.

Essential Duties: 

  • Manage Northwest Center’s Building Services Division, including growth and profitability of operations in each sector 
  • Plan, develop, direct, and monitor all operational and fiscal activities for operations to ensure quality and consistency 
  • Develop and ensure the execution of strategies to expand offerings and bring services to new markets and clients and maximize sales by identifying unmet needs in the marketplace 
  • Provide leadership to multiple Vice Presidents to ensure the retention of current customers and the acquisition of new customers through high-quality and cost-effective solutions 
  • Creating and implementing operations-related policies, practices, and standards to ensure effective and consistent support and execution 
  • Maintaining knowledge of emerging technologies, best practices, and trends in operational performance 


  • 10+ years of experience in a service-based industry with a preference for the facilities service industry  
  • Successful P&L responsibility for a geographic region or multiple territories and product offerings  
  • Commitment to Equity, Inclusion, and Diversity with an established understanding of how this commitment impacts the workplace 
  • Experience leading a high-performance team to achieve extraordinary outcomes  
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both the board room and the team room Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Bachelor’s degree with operational and leadership experience in a similar role
