The Northwest Center @ Amazon is looking for a Training Coordinator to work in a temporary position, from December 2024 through September 2025.  
 
This unique role will work directly with Amazon’s People Experience Team (PXT) to create exceptional experiences for executive-level attendees at training and development sessions. In this role, you will provide top-tier customer service, manage on-site logistics, and ensure each session runs smoothly from setup to breakdown. You will work alongside senior leadership, anticipating needs and solving challenges in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

Location: Seattle, WA + Bellevue, WA with domestic and international travel required 
Schedule: Monday – Friday, typically between 7:30 am – 6:00 pm (hours will vary). Schedules will vary from week to week, 45-50 hours per week during weeks with training, 30 hours per week on weeks without training
Wage: Starting Wage: $31.08 per hour | Full Range: $31.08 - $39.17 per hour

What You Will Do  
Customer Support 
  • Staff registration desk; greeting, welcoming, and registering all attendees in a friendly, warm, professional, and courteous manner. Provide a 5-star first impression for every attendee. 
  • Communicate with stakeholders, peers, and vendors to proactively resolve customer needs. 
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge to address inquiries and troubleshoot issues effectively. 
  • Monitor and respond to correspondence, providing customer education, support, and information regarding facilities and campus resources. 
 
Training Session Support
  • Perform necessary setup of classroom resources including registration desk, resources, branding materials, registration desk, catering, and other session-related needs in an organized and visually appealing fashion.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for attendees, facilitators, and various operational support functions to resolve ad hoc needs.
  • Manage registration and logistics for sessions, including taking attendance of attendees.
  • Traveling domestically and internationally to support multi-day training sessions up to a few times per month, with some trips scheduled after another.
  • Predetermined training schedule provided upon hire.  

Administrative and Program Support
  • Maintain, organize, track, and communicate inventory of classroom materials, consumables, and swag.
  • Collaborate with existing coordinators to create operational efficiencies and draft process documentation.
  • Communicate with stakeholders, peers, and vendors to share trends, feedback, and observations.
  • Maintain accurate and current records of relevant data/metrics as needed.
  • Assume day-to-day responsibility for assigned projects and successful task completion, with an ability to work independently and out of line of sight from other team members for all or part of shift.
  • Assist with new tasks, processes, or projects as needed to support evolving team requirements and other NWC divisions and requests from Amazon partners.
  • Hours will have varied start and end times due to scheduling needs. Flexibility to work occasional nights and weekends.
Who You Are 
  • 3+ years of experience in a high-volume customer-facing role including proven experience working with Executive level employees.
  • Experience in luxury customer-focused hotels OR fine dining restaurants OR event organizing preferred
  • Must be willing and able to travel domestically and internationally as required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Smartsheet, and SharePoint.
  • Strong attention to detail and a focus on project execution, able to manage a high degree of complexity and to distill information.
  • High School Diploma or GED
 
Working Conditions and Physical Demands 
  • Must be able to frequently carry and lift a backpack containing a laptop and other supplies, up to 50 pounds.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends as needed.
  • Ability to support adjusting furniture or working with the onsite team to help facilitate furniture needs.
  • Ability to work at a computer for long periods (up to 8 hours per workday).
  • The ability to move consistently within a 1.5-mile radius is required.
  • Ability to see both distance and details at close range, within a few feet of the observer (with or without corrective lenses).
  • Ability to identify and understand the speech of another person (with or without a personal auditory hearing device).
  • This is a dog friendly environment with over 1000 dogs on campus. Individuals with dog allergies or those who do not particularly care for dogs may not be the best fit.
