CORPORATE STRATEGY INTERN 

We are searching for an intern to join our Business Development and Corporate Strategy Department.  You will be assigned a specific project that will not only maximize your potential but add great value to our company. 

 

Some of the responsibilities may include: 

  • Support the Strategy & Corporate Development team in the evaluation of new business growth opportunities  
  • Conduct analysis of competitors or market segments to support NTE’s strategic planning and growth decisions 
  • Assist in the preparation of the monthly forecasting process by collecting, understanding, and verifying inputs including the creation of company wide financial budget.
  • Help streamline and automate existing spreadsheets that support either forecasting or budgeting process
  • Assist with development/maintenance of report formats, procedures, and revisions of existing systems
  • Partner on creating new financial models that help drive analytic insights for the business

What we look for in our Interns 

  • Must be enrolled or a recent graduate from a 2-4 year Associates or Bachelor’s program 
  • Demonstrated leadership capability in previous work experience and/or extracurriculars
  • Superior analytical skills with an ability to synthesize multiple data sources and present information succinctly
  • Self -starter that is highly motivated to learn about business operations and opportunities
  • Knowledge of the basic principles and practices of accounting and financial analysis
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deliver exceptional work in a short timeframe.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite, exceptional in Excel

 

 

Compensation:  $20/hourly 

Location:  Burnsville, MN (hybrid) 

This position will be a mix of remote and in-person work at Northern Tool + Equipment’s corporate office. Travel to MN-based Northern Tool + Equipment locations may be expected.
