We are currently seeking a talented Designer - Digital & Print who wishes to share their resourcefulness, ideas, and expertise to build lasting relationships by providing the right solution to our customers. PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION:

To lead the brand right creation and delivery of quality, on-brand visual design assets, promotions, content and communications to drive the support of the channels, medias, marketing and merchandising strategies.

MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

1.       Collaborates with Marketing and Design teams to build optimized email campaigns by successfully fusing creative and layout with business requirements that deliver a clear message to the customer.

2.       Creates images and HTML markup for web promotions to support the promotional strategies across the Company’s website.

3.       Creates visuals and corresponding landing pages for effective social marketing campaigns.

4.       Establishes and promotes brand style guides, standards and practices to ensure a consistent experience across all customer touchpoints.

5.       Presents and defends designs and key milestone deliverables to peers and management-level stakeholders.

6.       Conceptualizes original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design roadblocks.

7.       Provides training, rapid feedback and creative direction to other promotional designers.

8.       Continues the evolution of the designs as business goals, strategies, technology, and customer expectations evolve.

9.       Keeps supervisor informed of important developments, potential problems, and related information necessary for effective management. Coordinates and communicates plans and activities with others, as appropriate to ensure a coordinated work effort and team approach.

10.   Performs related work as apparent or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in web design, interactive design, graphic design, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience required.
  • Ecommerce/Retail experience required.
  • Prior experience working within IBM WebSphere Commerce a plus.
  • Mac Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Dreamweaver in a Windows environment. PC design skills a plus.
  • Must have cultivated a solid body of work demonstrated by an online portfolio of notable quality.
  • Highly proficient in all design aspects.
  • Proficient in utilizing a Content Management System (CMS) for publishing content to the web.
  • Experience using testing tools and understanding of inherent design-challenges introduced between web browsers and email clients.
  • Proficiency in creating/editing web pages and email templates using HTML and CSS.
  • Must be able to create memorable, effective marketing communications within fast turn-around times.
  • Adeptly handle changing priorities and multi-tasking throughout the workweek.
  • Passionate about creating a world-class consumer-facing user experience.
  • Challenges the status quo, is a thought-leader and provides subject matter expertise.
  • Experience with web-based project workflow and tracking system a plus such as JIRA or comparable.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with a wide variety of customers, employees, and others.
  • Ability to provide guidance or leadership to other team members.
