Located in the heart of Toronto’s Financial District, our head office is easily accessible by TTC and GO Transit, and within walking distance to the Eaton Centre, Air Canada Centre, Rogers Centre, and CN Tower. As a national property and casualty commercial insurance provider, we also have offices across Canada.

Position Summary 

This position requires a creative, driven communications professional with a passion for problem-solving and connecting the dots. The role is primarily responsible for working with the Manager of Internal Communications to develop and implement high-quality communications strategies, plans and programs that support the organization’s corporate goals and key projects, while also providing some secondary support to Internal Communications teammates on other communications initiatives across the business as needed.

What you will be doing:

  • Develop and execute communication strategies that support the organization's objectives and corporate goals, including:
    • Proactively identify communications opportunities to drive program objectives and address potential challenges
    • Coach project partners on communications best practices
    • Collaborate with program sponsors and business leads to deliver effective leadership communications for the program   
  • Provide support for Internal Communications teammates on the diverse communication needs of other key stakeholders across the business

What sets you apart:

  • A bachelor’s degree with more than three years of communications experience
  • Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills
  • Experience developing and executing measurable, multi-channel communication strategies for internal audiences
  • Hands-on communications specialist who is willing to roll up their sleeves to get the job done
  • Superb interpersonal skills including the ability to build positive and productive relationships with diverse groups of people; demonstrated ability to influence others in relation to new ideas or approaches; an effective consensus builder
  • An effective team player and colleague; brings a strong service orientation; recognizes opportunities to continuously improve programs and processes
  • Demonstrated success supporting an organization undergoing significant structural or cultural change
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
