Located in the heart of Toronto’s Financial District, our head office is easily accessible by TTC and GO Transit, and within walking distance to the Eaton Centre, Air Canada Centre, Rogers Centre, and CN Tower. As a national property and casualty commercial insurance provider, we also have offices across Canada.

Position Summary 

Northbridge is looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our newly created Talent Acquisition Team. Reporting to the Manager, Talent Acquisition; this position will participate in all aspects of the recruitment process which include, executing sourcing strategies, qualifying and interviewing candidates, planning and preparation of hiring events.

What you will be doing:

  • Manage the full cycle recruitment process: job postings, screen resumes, conduct phone and face-to-face interviews, coordinate interviews with hiring managers, make recommendations about candidates, salary recommendations, conduct references, and background checks, prepare offer packages and extend job offers.
  • Implement innovative and engaging strategies to attract top talent to the company.
  • Executes sourcing strategies to build a talent pipeline
  • Establishes & nurtures effective networking relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Maintain accurate recruitment records in ATS (applicant tracking system)
  • Become a value-added resource to the organization by coaching Hiring Managers in many aspects of the recruitment process, including; interviewing and pre-screening as required
  • Leverage technology and automation to improve the effectiveness of talent acquisition processes and enhance the candidate experience while minimizing costs.
  • Build long-term relationships with key universities & colleges and community partners to develop our university pipeline.
  • Assists in the creation of employment branding, social media programs, and strategic partnerships to ensure best in class talent acquisition practices.

What we are looking for:

  • 3 + years of recruitment experience within an agency/corporate setting
  • Someone who works to ensure a quality and effective recruitment process and makes recommendations that drive best in class practices
  • A person that understands building relationships is key in driving success
  • Experience using applicant tracking technology and online databases (LinkedIn)
  • Someone who prides themselves on an exceptional consistent candidate experience
  • Experience with Campus Recruitment efforts would be considered an asset

What sets you apart:

  • Experience using a variety of souring sourcing strategies, including; social media campaigns and candidate assessments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to take initiative and build strong relationships.
  • A proven track record and strong work ethic and proven organizational skills
