Plant Accountant II – Data Center Cooling

Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Plant Controller, the Plant Accountant will perform accounting and reporting duties, such as day to day transactions, Month-End preparation, preparation of financial statements, various account analyses, preparation of SOX compliance documents.

Job Responsibilities

  • Calculate Revenue at Month End across multiple projects (% of completion method).
  • Knowledge of Revenue Recognition guidelines.
  • Reconcile AR cash with division reports (payments applied to invoices).
  • Perform SOX controls for month end.
  • Prepare monthly reports for Labor and Overhead spending by cost center.
  • Provide input to Controller in preparation of monthly forecast.
  • Fixed Asset accounting: G/L, reconciliations, Journal entries, variances, transactions, cycle count inventories, accounting schedules, tracking, etc., related to Fixed Assets.
  • Assist Controller and Accounting Team with external auditors as needed.
  • Update schedules and record standard journal entries:
    • Calculate Vacation Accrual
    • 401k Payable
    • Accrued sales tax
    • Facility deposits reconciliation
    • Prepare reconciliations for Month-End: AR Trade, IC AR, shipped not invoiced, all accrued payroll accounts, and accrued sales tax, customer deposits
    • AR aging and delinquent accounts review
  • Review and approve employee Expense Reports in Workday.
  • Transactional finance support for remote data center manufacturing locations.
  • Maintains an attitude which consistently represents the organizational culture, including: the mission, vision and core attributes.
  • Other Ad hoc duties as assigned by manager.

Job Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or related field.
  • 5+ years of similar accounting work experience.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong knowledge of the Accounting Cycle, Journal Entries, Reconciliations.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Good inter-personal skills in a Team environment.
  • Strong abilities to use Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access).
  • Must be proactive and self-starter
