About the Role: 

The Course Operations Director (COD) supports Noodle’s vision for exceptional online learning by managing and facilitating the work of maintaining our completed programs. The COD manages term by term preparations for existing programs as well as facilitates the on-going improvements for previously completed program builds. 

As our Course Operations Director you will: 

  • Lead and manage the term preparation schedule of activities for each academic term start among the university programs in your portfolio as well as all Noodle In-house Term Prep efforts
  • Support the Managing Director, Course Operations in task delegation for a team of part time contractors and assigned managers
  • Own the relationship with the Design Providers including developing the Statement of Work that details the scope, schedule, cost and quality metrics for the engagement
  • Ensure that appropriate university partners are updated toward program term start details
  • Monitor the quality and timeliness of term prep milestones through regular check ins with all pertinent stakeholders involved i.e. Solutions Architects, Designers, etc
  • Manage the schedule to ensure the courses go live on time for faculty and students
  • Manage invoicing, billing and term prep annual budget so that courses do not exceed the budgeted amount allocated for ongoing development
  • Provide weekly status reporting to all stakeholders on the progress of the term prep and/or continuous improvement work
  • Work collaboratively with the other members of the Learning team and all of Noodle to ensure partner satisfaction with services and products
  • Support on assigned operational improvement projects e.g. tech tool roll out initiatives

You have:

  • Education:
    • Masters Degree preferred and/or experience in general operations management
    • Bachelor’s (Required)
  • Experience: 
    • Project Managing: 3 years (required)
    • Vendor Management: 3 years (required)
    • Budgeting and Scope of Work Development: 3 years (preferred)
    • Curricular Instruction or Development: 3 years (preferred)
    • Strong Interpersonal Skills
    • Strong Problem Solving Skills and Analytical ability 
    • Demonstrated attention to detail e.g. quality assurance
    • Flexibility, versatility and proven ability to lead change
    • Strong facilitation skills
    • Strong project management and planning skills in order to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously 
    • Demonstrated proficiency in managing across multi-functional departments to include solutions architecture, marketing, and student affairs
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
