As a Learning Partnership Director, you will:

  • Navigate successful partnerships with university faculty. Our Learning Partnership Directors (LPD) are the first exposure many faculty and staff have with Noodle
  • Help universities make program decisions that drive towards 100% retention and graduation
  • Guide the university through the program design process aiding them in building a world-class program that is differentiated and has signature qualities that reinforce the university brand and perspective in great learning design
  • Put the faculty at ease about the enormous task of building excellent online courses that map to the overall program design
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the Deans and program directors as they facilitate conversations about program identity and curriculum mapping with the faculty
  • Build trusting relationships with university program directors, anticipate their concerns, and ensure they and our General Managers have all the information they need about the status of the program build work for the campuses in their region
  • Represent the learning team across campus and across their region, helping General Managers make the case for effective learning design
  • Collaborate with the program build teams to keep partners informed of progress and resolve any barriers to successful builds

You have: 

  • Exceptional communication skills, expertise in learning and program design, and fluency in university culture, particularly understanding faculty dynamics
  • Exceptional diplomatic and problem solving skills
  • Deep experience in understanding the dynamics between faculty and administration
  • Significant university experience, specifically working as a faculty member and ideally as a manager of faculty
  • Fluency in learning science and its application to create great learning design
  • Familiarity with research about student retention and its application to creating abnormally high graduation rates
  • Expertise in curricular and pedagogical needs and innovations in at least one of the program verticals
  • Prior experience in online course development and/or instruction, specifically in virtual settings that use synchronous classes
  • Excitement and creativity about the potential of online learning
  • Knowledge of adult learning theory, learning science, and principles of effective online pedagogy
  • Experience working with faculty on curriculum development, ideally for online settings
  • Excellent workshop facilitator skills, and in particular, the ability to establish rapport with faculty groups quickly, putting them and their program directors at ease, and helping them feel confident in the course development process
  • Accountability and a results-driven attitude
  • Professionalism and experience working with higher education faculty as peers
  • A can-do attitude ‒ you must be able to embrace uncertainty with poise
  • A team mentality ‒ as a key member of Noodle team, you’ve got to put the needs of the team first, at every turn
  • A customer service-focused mindset
  • Doctoral degree / PHD Preferred
