About the Role:

Noodle is seeking a curious, self-starting, detail-oriented, and responsible Market Researcher to execute day-to-day requests from our University partners, University Partnership team, and internal Noodle Product teams to help gather market intelligence in the assessment of new partner, program, and product opportunities.  Reporting to the Director of Market Research, this is a highly dynamic position and will require a significant amount of flexibility, adaptability, and creativity at times.  But know that your work will inform strategic decision-making at the organizational level and make sure that we have the most up-to-date intelligence on the market for us and our partners.

Daily life will include conducting both primary and secondary qualitative and quantitative research, including using tools like IPEDS, BLS, Tableau, EMSI, Qualtrics, UserTesting.  Your research will help Noodle cross-apply lessons and developments to support innovative thinking and create an informed point of view on potential innovations within the delivery of academic programs and products across various degree fields, academic offering types, and modality options. Ideally, this candidate also has 1-2+ years of experience managing primary UX/UI research projects to support the crafting of consumer product experiences.

Additionally, you will be called on to partner with internal Marketing Directors, General Managers, and regional support staff to answer questions around program performance challenges or opportunities and leverage available data to provide market context and insights to the team. This could include researching and reporting on pricing, program specifications, admissions requirements, or marketing efforts from our competitors and how they may be influencing our results. Similarly, you will engage directly with our product teams to help flesh out a research-based perspective on Noodle Product opportunities.

Finally, as new partners, programs, and products come into the Noodle portfolio, assisting in the creation of reports for our partners and internal stakeholders on the market context and opportunity spaces for their programs and products will be a regular part of life as we create mutual trust and set expectations for program and product growth.

As our Market Researcher, you will:

  • Synthesize and analyze primary and/or secondary market research data to provide product insights, trend data, and competitive intelligence to Noodle Product and Noodle Shoppe teams.
  • As necessary, assist in the preparation of market research reports leveraging secondary or government databases like IPEDS, BLS, O*Net, EMSI and other higher-education-specific tools in conjunction with the Director of Market Research and Market Research Analyst.

  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills to analyze, evaluate, synthesize, and present data findings; The ability to bring in data -both qualitative and quantitative, structure an analysis, and derive logical, accurate conclusions will be critical.
  • Preferably 1-2+ years of experience directly managing UX/UI and product development research projects, utilizing both primary or secondary methods.
  • Preference for someone with 2+ years of experience in higher education research, marketing analytics, strategy, consulting, or related experience.
  • MBA a plus, but not necessary.
