Key Job Responsibilities

  • Create a curriculum that is backwards planned from Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS).
  • Provide instruction that is culturally responsive and culturally sustaining
  • Use data to refine curriculum and inform instructional practices 
  • Execute Noble’s Identity Framework with fidelity in order to create a positive, structured learning environment where students are safe and supported and empowered to grow academically 
  • Implement long term, unit, and lesson plans (developed by Amazon Edhesive Program) designed to expose students to various paths of Computer Science in order to guide students into more specific majors of either Applied Computer Science or Computer Programming
  • expose students to an Introduction of Computer Science, preparing them for AP Computer Science Principles and AP Computer Science A. 
  • utilize data from in class formative and summative assessments to drive instruction and intervention, and
  • Above all else, Noble Computer Science teachers must invest our students in the benefits and beauty of understanding Computer Science and programming.
  • Execute Noble’s student code of conduct with fidelity in order to create a positive, structured learning environment where students are held to high expectations and empowered to grow academically

  • Proven commitment to serving students of color and contributing to anti-racism in practice and disposition

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required 
  • Eligibility to work in the United States on a full-time basis 
  • Active Illinois Teaching License preferred

Moreover, for professionals who do not currently hold an in use teaching license, the Noble Licensure Program offers a robust set of programs and corresponding financial benefits for teachers to obtain licensure while teaching at Noble. Additionally, successful candidates will receive a $2,500 signing bonus.
