Leading a school is difficult work, so we do what we can to ensure you can focus on student learning by removing barriers to being successful. To do this, Noble offers:
- A Focus on Learning: Teachers are empowered to design their courses to best achieve results for students. Our campus leaders minimize disruptions and maximize time focused on student learning. Copy rooms are stockpiled with paper. Classes are rarely interrupted with announcements or special events. Over 95% of students are in attendance daily.
- Accountability and Support: Expectations are consistent. We are obsessed with following through on the basics and are committed to supporting, developing, and retaining high-performing educators.
- Active Community Involvement: Through parent advisory councils, feedback workshops, advocacy support, college enrollment guidance, quarterly parent-teacher conferences, advisory, and other engagement opportunities we invest in every student and family to build lasting, meaningful relationships.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Design and implement the vision, goals, and requirements for instructional excellence and the pathway for student academic gains in collaboration with other instructional leadership and the Principal
- Manage content department chairs, grade-level leads, and other mid-level leadership roles
- Oversee the creation of standards-aligned, rigorous curricula that leads to high-quality instruction, and the creation of assessments that effectively measure progress towards academic standards
- Assign, inspect, and offer feedback on all academic deliverables (coaching reflections, planning documents, data-driven instruction cycles, quarterly data analysis, etc.)
- Coach caseload of teachers (10-15) toward meeting their goals in terms of GPA, P/SAT growth, attendance, NGSS proficiency, AP scores, and student culture
- Plan for each teacher’s growth, support, and development throughout the school year
- Observe and debrief with teachers in regular cycles, using progress toward goals, video/observation evidence, gradebook data, student work, etc.
- Advocate for caseload of teachers within the school by celebrating successes, sharing struggles, and promoting professional growth
- Analyze data, facilitate quarterly data conferences, track progress toward academic goals (including gradebook audits and GPA), and intervene with specific teachers and teams as necessary
- Organize, develop, and deliver on-site high quality professional development
- Coordinate standardized testing and other academic supports
- Support with hiring process and onboarding for new teachers

- Proven track record of ambitious results in previous roles, both as a classroom teacher and in other campus leadership roles

- A regular practice of reflection and a desire to continuously improve
- Mastery of and enthusiasm for instructional pedagogy, data collection & analysis, and action planning & execution
- An ability to think and act strategically as evidenced by a demonstrated resourcefulness in setting data-driven priorities and guiding investment in people and systems
- Excellent time management skills, consistently thinking into the future to proactively problem solve
- Successful written and oral communication skills with a multitude of stakeholders
- Able to build productive professional relationships with students, staff, and families, especially those in most need of support
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Eligibility to work in the United States on a full-time basis
- Active Illinois Teaching License preferred, not required
