Currently, we are looking for an Android Developer to join our team and play a key role in crafting high-quality, user-friendly Android applications that meet the needs of our diverse client base while adhering to industry best practices and cutting-edge technologies.
What would be your job?
- Cooperate with technology partners and industry consortia to define standard interfaces and architectures for innovative features
- Developing apps which use the car hardware, e.g., camera, ADAS information, IMU data, as provided by Android Automotive
- Developing Android applications which can run on a phone or inside a car
- Implement Proofs of Concept to validate and demonstrate these concepts
- Work with engineering teams to productize innovations
- Take part in standardization activities around AAOS
If you have…
- Know your way around Android libraries like Android MVVM Design Pattern, Coroutines, RxJava, OAuth 2.0, Dagger, and keep up with the latest Android versions.
- Are good at talking with others, can work on your own, and like working with people from different countries and backgrounds in a Scrum team.
- Experience of Android app and Android platform development along with experience in AOSP and the AOSP build system.
- Have experience with automated Unit and Integration Tests, and know how to use GitLab CI/Docker and Git.
- Like learning about new technologies and enjoy discussing ways to make apps better.
- M.Sc in Software Engineering or equivalent experience through years of practice
- Programming experience in Kotlin and/or Java
- Active command of English

- Being familiar with using or developing machine learning algorithms, e.g. LLMs
- Being familiar with Providing Services via Google, AWS or Azure
- Experience with OpenStreetMap or other digital maps
- Processing Camera Data by AI algorithms, e.g. CNNs

- Experience in Computer Vision
- Sensor Fusion, Positioning
- Experience with Flutter
